Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 17, 2026

Welcome to RenderX ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the RenderX Desktop Application, Discord Bot, dashboard, and website (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these legally binding Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, you are expressly prohibited from using the Services and must discontinue use immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By utilizing the Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

2. License Grant and Restrictions

RenderX grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Services strictly in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the RenderX Client or Bot.
  • Sublicense, resell, rent, lease, or distribute your RenderX license to unauthorized third parties or other studios.
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass any licensing, security, or authentication mechanisms.

3. Billing, Payment, and Strict Non-Refundable Policy

All payments, subscriptions, and purchases made for RenderX Services are strictly non-refundable. Due to the digital nature of the software, the immediate allocation of server nodes, and bot deployment resources, we do not offer refunds, prorated refunds, or credits for partially used billing periods under any circumstances. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of your current paid billing cycle.

4. Pricing Modifications

RenderX reserves the absolute right to modify, adjust, or increase pricing for any of our Services at any time, at our sole discretion. Any price changes will be communicated to active subscribers prior to their next billing cycle. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes your legally binding agreement to the new pricing.

5. Hardware Liability & Assumption of Risk

RenderX is a distributed rendering management tool that utilizes your local hardware (CPUs, GPUs, and RAM) at maximum capacity for extended durations. You expressly acknowledge that rendering is a highly intensive hardware process. RenderX, its developers, and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any hardware degradation, thermal throttling, overheating, permanent hardware failure, data loss, or secondary damages resulting from the use of our software.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

We do not claim ownership over the 3D assets, Unreal Engine projects, or the final rendered images/videos you produce using our Services. You retain all intellectual property rights to your creations. However, the RenderX software, algorithms, code, branding, and infrastructure remain the exclusive, sole property of RenderX and its licensors.

7. Third-Party Services Integration (Discord & Epic Games)

RenderX heavily integrates with third-party platforms, namely Discord and Epic Games (Unreal Engine). We are not responsible for the availability, uptime, API changes, or policies of these third parties. If Discord or Epic Games alters their APIs in a way that disrupts RenderX functionality, we are not liable for any resulting downtime or loss of business.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. RENDERX EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR 100% SECURE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RenderX, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Class Action Waiver

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms, suspicion of unauthorized access, or abusive behavior toward our support staff or infrastructure.

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 17, 2026

RenderX is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Local-First Security Architecture (Zero File Access)

RenderX is fundamentally designed as a highly secure, local-first application. We understand that your Unreal Engine projects, 3D assets, and final renders are highly confidential and proprietary. RenderX does not upload, copy, sync, or transmit any of your project files, assets, or renders to our servers. Everything stays 100% secured on your local machines. Our backend infrastructure is strictly a "command relay" — it only transfers lightweight text commands (like "start render") between your Discord server and your local node.

2. Information We Collect

To provide you with the Services, we collect necessary operational data, including:

  • Account Information: Your Discord ID, username, and email address (if provided during billing).
  • Hardware Telemetry: We collect hardware metrics (CPU/GPU load, VRAM usage, and temperatures) strictly to provide you with the /hwstatus functionality and to manage render distribution efficiently.
  • Project Metadata: We process file paths and project names to execute commands (e.g., /setpath), but we do not upload, scan, or store your actual proprietary .uproject files or 3D assets on our servers.

2. Data Security & Ephemeral Messaging

We prioritize your privacy on Discord. RenderX utilizes Discord's "Ephemeral Messaging" system, ensuring that when you execute commands, the responses containing your file paths and node statuses are only visible to you. Other members of the Discord server cannot see your command inputs or outputs. Furthermore, RenderX can be operated entirely via direct messages (DMs) with the bot for maximum security.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share necessary data with trusted third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) exclusively for handling your subscription securely.
